Did I accidentally click on something on either platform? Was I unwittingly made to, though I couldn’t remember an instant of it happening? Was I getting hacked? Was it a spam comment ’cause it appeared like a comment that I still had to approve? I checked the page, it’s not in the comment threads. So I went to the dashboard.
Well, thank goodness to Akismet, it was held for approval. Of course, I sent it to the trash bin.
I also realized that it might have had something to do with the name of my channel, THE SANDBOX SHOW JGi. There is a cryptocurrency called The Sandbox. It’s the real reason I added the word “SHOW” and retained a name, to distinguish it from the digital coin. I even added a disclaimer on the homepage to say that I am not, in any way, connected to it. Unfortunately, it seems like none of those steps helped.
And it seems like I’m correct, judging from the site itself. On the left is my video with the description below it, just like it is on YouTube. On the right, that’s where the cryptos are listed down. I recognize most of them because I used to tweet news about them.
I honestly could not say if it was spam since the website did seem legit. (I later happened to check my email and there was a notification asking for a pingback). If you click on the video, it plays. The channel name above it, though, does not redirect to my YouTube account. Just here:
How is that supposed to promote my channel? It’s really promoting the crypto. This site finds blog accounts and video channels that just happen to mention words that are the same as the name of currencies. Then they do this. Nevermind that those do not have anything to do with crypto at all. I know. I saw the others. Talk about piggy-backing. I just happened to post various links in the description and they’re clickable, except for TikTok. Good thing, eh?
Well, sorry. It pretends that it’s a great deal, It’s not. They can delete it from their page, for all I care. I just don’t want to be used.
[UPDATE: I just happened to check on that page and scrolled down to the bottom. That’s where I saw a link that said “SOURCE”. I clicked on it and confirmed what I thought, that it led to my YouTube channel. Well, okay, my bad. HOWEVER, I still don’t agree to be used. It still doesn’t change the fact that the video, my channel, even my blog are NOT AFFILIATED with the crypto.]
Welcome to Part 3 of “Andrea’s Multiverse”! Sorry it took long as I had been kind of sick for a time and was also waiting for something. Anyway, last time, you got acquainted with top fan favorites Agent Red and The Fairie that were created by TikTok/YouTube content creator Andrea So. Now, meet the other three that fans love to see!
I’m not gonna lie. I wonder if these three women all had daddy issues. There’s the Mafia Boss’s Daughter (MBD), the Pirate King’s Daughter (PKD), then The Princess, obviously daughter to a king.
It makes sense, though. It emphasizes that each of them lives in a “man’s world” where the powers-that-be and their minions are generally male. It does not matter that being children of the big guys gave them certain privileges to go up the ladder. Common ladies would have a hard time even achieving one step of that ladder. The opportunity is there and MBD, PKD, and the Princess have done well taking it.
They work hard proving that they can get their jobs done and do them better than anyone.
The Mafia Boss’s Daughter, Danger Woman
Let’s first get this out of the way. There are people that are probably not aware that the real Mafia is an actual international group doing organized crime. They look cool on TikTok, except they are anything but. Leave it to Hollywood to romanticize everything, including the Mafia.
That said, fiction is fiction — any character can have an interesting story, even a Mafia boss’s daughter. So, moving on…
Viewers first see MBD as the tough daughter of the Boss. “Tough” is an understatement as her father trained her hard as their hitman. She is their version of Agent Red, so to speak. If they are to fight each other (hopefully not), MBD will not go down easily, if at all (sorry, Red). She is combat-trained and a sharp-shooter herself, which shuts up every guy who questions her skills. She hates a lot of things, but misogyny is definitely one of her biggest pet peeves. Avoid triggering her at all costs!
It is not clear why her father trusts her to get things done. I do take it that she’s probably proven herself to him time and again. At some point, she even becomes the boss, taking over the “business”. I imagined her as a solo child. In one POV, however, she has brothers who have tried to kill her to get the power but failed. In another, she has a little sister. They all could still very well be part of her storyline.
The one thing that anyone should remember about MBD is she is bossy. And that comes with a very quick, very bad temper. That is also why she seems to be constantly annoyed. And when she doesn’t, well, it can be quite tricky guessing what mood she’s really in.
In the multiverse she shares with the four women, I assume that she is either a different MBD than the one above, or she has mellowed down and probably left the Mafia (at least, the organization, not her family). Because it’s more interesting, I choose the latter.
She is the way she is because being female, she always had to be tough to prove her worth to her father. That meant doing things that didn’t seem to faze her (except they did, internally). Nobody saw it coming but the last straw was the last mission where she had to keep a child distracted during his parent’s execution. She always made it a point that this was done and took it upon herself to do it.
She left and that was the end of her Mafia career. She was still human….
Okay, I made that whole scenario up about her leaving, ha ha. But you have to admit, it’s a good POV. And Andrea’s wonderful acting makes it believable. The forced smile, the quick side glance, especially the subtle flinch at the end–they were everything that made it powerful. The video, so far, has been the saddest one I’ve seen from Andrea. The more I thought about it, the more I got sad the first day I saw it. I honestly stopped watching videos a little bit to pull myself together. This is how I am, okay?
Going back to this version of MBD, it’s funny the way that she usually looks annoyed at something and blurts out a demanding “WHAT?!!!” But unlike the serious Agent Red, MBD is more social and expressive. If it is not about work, MBD doesn’t hide her feelings.
Perhaps, it’s the maternal — or big sis — instinct that she naturally feels, something she tried to hide before especially coming from her background. That is why when Faerie’s in trouble, bullies may find themselves in double trouble.
If you find yourself often confused between Red and MBD, you are not alone. This happens a lot. They have similar tastes in clothes: the cuts, the dark colors, the more professional look. They present themselves as professionals. Lately, though, Red wears more leather and gloves. MBD wears more feminine cuts and less blazers. There is one top that they both love to wear, though, you may have noticed. The Princess wore it once, too. I’ll leave it to you to find out which one.
Red’s very red lipstick should set them apart, except sometimes, MBD likes it very red as well. So to not be confused, look for the “clues” I mentioned. Check that previous clip above, too. The best thing is to read the POV descriptions first to avoid/lessen the confusion.
Oh, and fun fact: MBD was the OG bad*ss before Red came along. People wanted more non-common characters like The Princess. Andrea came up with MBD. I know MBD came from a TikTok challenge/trend, but Andrea took her to the next level. So, I apologize if this feature on MBD is long. MBD deserves the tribute.
The day MBD entered the picture…well, the POVs
“Belle” said that the new type of role fits Andrea well, aside from The Princess. Andrea promised to come up with more POVs. We now know she did.
The MysteriousPirate King’s Daughter
Among the five, PKD is the character with the least airtime, sadly. There’s probably a lot of POVs that can be done with her, full of adventure and fantasy. Think of Jack Sparrow. (Her father is not necessarily him, okay? And no, not “Straw Hat” Luffy either!) Aaaaarrr! Matey!
I think, and anyone can correct me on this, PKD was created when the Wellerman trend or challenge blew up. That is why most of her videos involve the song.
Legend has it that The Pirate King used to sing the sea shanty Soon May the Wellerman Come to his little daughter. It’s a song that only pirates know and that was the last song he sang to her before she was abducted and disappeared. The king had been looking for her eversince. He hoped that one day, she’d hear the song and come back to him. Until that day finally came.
We don’t know what happens next. How does the reunion go? Does he recognize his little girl immediately? Does she tell him who raised her and how her life has been (she seems to have snatched that little pouch from somebody)? Does he find out who abducted her?…So many interesting backstories to consider.
I guess, if PKD has any daddy issues, it would be with the one who raised her. Her own dad would have just showered her with love and affection after finding her again. But of course, inheriting his position and everything was probably met with a lot of protests, if not silent indignation, from the men. PKD was not one to be intimidated, though.
She’s had a rough life, I suppose, and learned how best to cope. For sure, the king had her trained as well so she could be captain of the ship someday. She couldn’t be a great pirate queen without proving herself in perilous quests. She passed with flying colors. Whatever she lacks in physical skills, if any, she makes up with cleverness and street smarts. She met the evil troll that tried to trick The Faerie and, right from the start, you’d know she really wasn’t having it.
And now, she’s acquainted with equally powerful women. She socializes with them from time to time. There was that time they went clubbing (they couldn’t make her dance) using fake names and pretending to be rich neighbors driving the same fancy car model. Or that time she went strolling through the woods with MBD and The Faerie. Or that time the women auditioned for a singing role. Other than those few times, however, her friends have no idea where she is or what she’s doing. Could she be out on the sea commandeering a ship she and her men have captured?
She doesn’t really tell her friends much. They don’t even know if she has any kind of lovelife. We do know of that time only one guy could make her melt like a puddle. Are they still in a relationship? Were they ever? Maybe. We don’t “see” him again. Sometimes, she misses her chance, too, like the time she was at the fair and blew off someone but it backfired. He asked for her name and she acted like a snob joking about — of all things — thieves! She also gave in to temptation once and used black magic. She may have freed the guy, though. It could’ve been that one guy we mentioned. PKD does learn her lessons.
She definitely has a specific look that sets her apart. The dresses and especially that hairpiece suits her. Come to think of it, though, other than white and black dresses, we never see her wear anything else that’s of a fancier color. PKD has never really dressed up! I guess being a pirate princess does not equate to living a fancier lifestyle. That’s why she’s a pirate. But what they do with the stuff they steal, we might never know.
[Ed. (October 16) A collab just went live starring Andrea and actress Eliana Ghen (@elianaghen) and guess which multiverse lady Andrea is playing. Someone is getting more attention that she deserves 🙂 I hope it’s a series. I’m excited!WATCH IT!!! MORE UPDATE: She’s been showing more frequently these days in multiverse videos. The only thing I was waiting for was to finally see her dance…and she finally danced!]
Her Highness,The Princess
The Princess doesn’t really need introductions. Her character is the easiest to understand and she’s been around practically eversince Andrea’s POVs started.
She has it all: beauty, money, and fame. However, we’ve all heard it before, that a royalty’s life is not all rosy. There are a lot of things The Princess resents about her life. For one, she is forced to act like the perfect princess everyone wants her to be. So getting drunk and asking a random guy for a souvenir kiss isn’t something her royal family would be proud of (especially since he turns out to be not just some random guy).
Among the five ladies in the multiverse, it’s The Princess that has fallen in love and gotten her heart broken the most. Romance seems to be either her luck or curse, her victory or downfall. We’ve seen her through good and bad times. We’ve seen her cry not just a few times.
While true and everlasting love is elusive, however, no one makes The Princess feel more sad, lonely, vulnerable, and unsafe than her own family.
They don’t see The Princess for what she is: a real person with feelings and a need to feel loved by those around her. Rather than the privileged brat everyone has made her out to be, she is a misunderstood soul capable of greater things. Except she is seen but never really heard. She hates beingignored for her views due to her gender. The Princess is actually smart and good with strategies, if only the King hears her opinions and ideas.
She feels most alienated at home. Her brothers do not respect her — they only see her as an obstacle towards attaining the crown. Her own mother isn’t warm to her (probably because she is the biggest reminder of a loveless marriage) so they do not get along. For the longest time, she was made to feel like a monster. Lastly, her father doesn’t trust her with royal responsibilities because she is a woman. He doesn’t care, doesn’t believe to see if she has potentials to rule a kingdom. He’ll rather that his eldest child stays as the perfect little princess to be married off to a prince one day. He’ll pass the crown to the one next in line to her, his eldest son.
What they fail to expect is for her to find her inner strength, though. Eventually, The Princess is able to break the chain of sexist traditions and succeeds in becoming Her Majesty,The Queen.
In Andrea’s Multiverse, The CEO’s Daughter and The President’s Dughter are variants of The Princess. However, The Queen is The Princess’s leveled-up variant. She is the only character that has an older version.
Often underestimated but always victorious, The Queen rules her kingdom well with courage, smarts, and maturity. Right now, it is her people to whom she offers her true love. (Just remember, these are POVs that use various audios, so she maybe Queen of England now, Queen of Scotland some other time.As long as she rules a kingdom…)
Old habits die hard, though. If she can’t have something, she’ll make sure to have it nonetheless if she deems it necessary. Ask The Faerie who (un)fortunately met The Queen once.
Poor Faerie, The Queen made her cry even more, ha ha!!! But, at least, The Queen’s heart is in the right place. Finally.
There you have it! You’ve met all of the five most-loved characters (six, if we count the older variant) of The Andweaverse (that’s what Andrea calls it now). I think of them as The Spice Girls of the Multiverse! The Faerie is Baby Spice (DUH!). Agent Red is Sporty Spice, strong and dependable. MBD is Scary Spice ’cause, well, she is scary. The Princess is Posh Spice — Hello? She’s so regal! PKD is Ginger Spice, by default (sorry). She does add her own particular spice to the group.
Watch out for the conclusion of this feature! But let us end this part with an epic Andweaverse concert! See if you can spot or name all who are featured in this video (I’ll add after the vid, but no cheating!!!}
In order of appearance: The Drummer Girl, The Vocalist, The Neighbor, PKD, The Nerd, Agent Red, The Princess, MBD, The Babysitter, The Faerie
Part 4 (CONCLUSION) IS NEXT! YAAAY!!! It will include facts about our favorite creator and the things that make Andrea So iconic 🙂 Those were supposed to be for Part 3, too, but it would really be very long. You’ll need to rest.
ALL SOLO VIDEOS AND IMAGES BELONG TO MISS ANDREA SO BUT THE POSTED DUETS ALSO BELONG TO EDGE TUICO
When I write my stories, I often read aloud and deliver the dialogues to know how they and my characters sound. I want to know if they work; I want to feel what the characters feel. Sometimes, it’s others’ works that I want to have a better feel of…Well, until recently, I didn’t know that that is a form of voice acting.
I can’t exactly say how I stumbled on the first voice acting challenge. All I remember is thinking, why not try? I do it all the time, anyway. So, in maybe a span of two weeks, I’ve posted several entries for challenges already. And I’ve noticed that they’re often the ones that are getting more views and LIKEs on TikTok. I can’t even believe that a few have been saved as favorites by other people.
I compiled them as Set 1 for you. Not sure if you’ll like them. Any constructive criticism would be very much appreciated.
It’s November once again and the writing/blogging challenge has begun! It seems like it was just a few weeks back since I did it. That kind of makes sense, considering how much I extended my participation. Shameless plug: Check out my entries last time HERE. For those who have no idea what NaNoPoblano is, HERE YOU GO, as explained by the lovely and talented Ra.
Obviously, I’m days late. My reasons are valid, though, I’d rather not discuss them anymore and waste time. I just know I’ll make up for the lost days. Meanwhile, MY 2022 THEME: Anything-Social Media. There are probably a range of things to post about. Definitely, a lot of it will be more personal. Some will be text-heavy; some will just be a photo/video or two with a little explanation to go. Some will be combos.
Why social media? To start with, it’s part of my day-to-day life. Being a web content writer, it has become inevitable to take part in it, for work and not. For a bit of transparency, I’ve been working on a Twitter account for over a year now. That’s all I can say.
On a more personal basis, I’ve been on YouTube vlogging (occasionally) and actively joining comment threads. I really like conversations. Sometimes, it’s better and even more interesting talking with strangers, honestly. Facebook? A given. I’ve been spending more time on my writer’s page (the term “fan page” makes me cringe) account, however. Again, it’s better sometimes with strangers, that’s why. No, I don’t get to converse much there. Hardly. But at least, I don’t start questioning my relationships with people that I know in real life. Just real talk here, guys.
This year, I made THE VEERLEDOM active. I even recently made a Twitter account for it, though, I still need to take care of its settings. I keep getting notifications from various people I have not associated it with. Instagram? After years of inactivity, it’s now semi-active. I post once in a while. maybe an average of, at least, once (ha ha) in two to three months. I did post more recently. I follow several accounts, but to be honest, there’s really just one account that I really make sure to check daily. That’s content creator Andrea So‘s. I do the same onTikTok and YouTube. Call me a fangirl. She was the only reason I opened a TikTok account in the first place.
Contetnt Creator Andrea So , also popularly known as Agent Red
I’ve talked about her several times already. In fact, I already posted the first two parts of my article on her. Part 1 is an introduction with a variety of sample videos to show her work. Part 2 introduces the fan faves, the top two of her five most popular characters. Part 3 will showcase the other three characters. Part 4 will spill facts and answer some FAQs about her. Of course, since this is my blog, I write them in any style I want, so they’re not your usual feature writeups. (You might want to revisit the pages if you’ve seen them as I just made changes/updates and added information)
I was reluctant to admit that I was fangirling. But I realized that if someone who’s older and famous like Lea Salonga can unabashedly fangirl in public on KPop’s favorite boys, BTS, I certainly can fangirl on whomever I want. I found Andrea’s videos on YouTube at a time when I was bored (I didn’t realize I was till then) and frustrated about many things. I was also getting depressed because I joined cat and dog rescue and adoption groups on Facebook. I felt so down that I couldn’t give the necessary assistance that were/are mostly needed. There are so many cats and dogs that need love! I couldn’t even adopt any because we already had too many for us to handle. It was stressing me out, for real.
To make the long story short, I found Andrea and she made me less bored, frustrated, and depressed. Her bad*ss Agent Red reminded me of my bad*ss Maya de Alano. I love that people love Red and that’s the kind of love I want Maya to get. I want to enjoy writing Maya as much as Andrea enjoys portraying her famous agent. Andrea inspired me to write again that I finally decided to copy or move my stories, my “book” in particular, to Wattpad. I am seeking a broader audience. I don’t exactly want to focus on just a certain target audience but it can bring me to the right ones who will appreciate the story.
Alright, I don’t want to spill everything in just one post. Do expect more to come. I’ll leave you with some transition vids from Andrea.
Last October was my first YouTube anniversary. Actually, technically, it wasn’t. I’ve had the account for years. But last year, I decided it was time to do what I really wanted with it: I started vlogging.
One of my dreams was to create my own videos someday. But when I was younger, we didn’t have a camera. We probably could not afford one. Even if we could, it would be against my conscience to ask one from my parents who worked hard to raise us. If we had cellphones, they would not have had clear cameras anyway, if they came with cameras at all. Good thing that I had my chance in college where we created various video productions. And then, my first job was perfect — I wrote and produced institutional videos for a tertiary school.
But those were school- and job-related works. I wanted to create stuff for myself. I had always wanted to own a channel once I learned about people broadcasting on their own cable channels. I wanted to be the one to produce and decide what to do on my own show. But I didn’t have my own equipment and the family did not have cable…
Fast-forward to now and voila! Hello, YouTube! It helps, too, that new technologies have made it easier for us. Now anyone can own a channel. Even a quirky wannabe like me.
My not-so-high-tech equipment does the trick. Of course, there’s still a lot to be desired. My detachable webcam takes vivid shots except if you move a lot, it creates a sort of visual echo. It can be quite tricky considering that I am a very animated person. I use Windows Photo Editor, which is helpful but is not as nice as other editors. In some of my posted videos, it is obvious whenever I jump from one part to another. They were the first ones I recorded.
I used the “Trim” feature to edit at the start. Luckily, I noticed sometime these last months that they have added a “Split” feature. Tried that and it proved to be sooo much better. It makes the work easier and the results less ‘jumpy’. Most times, the transitions are not even obvious. I could get a better (free) editor, but I am not sure if my laptop’s memory can handle it. Will get to that one day.
The jumps in my vids are more obvious when real-time, actual background music is recorded along with my talking. That is because in the first videos I made, I knowingly recorded while playing songs in the background. That was me being stupid, not realizing the consequences of my actions.
I sometimes get copyright claims when I post them (so I do add credits in the Description section). No strikes, though, especially since I am not earning anything from vlogging. YouTube influencer, I have no illusions of becoming. I have explained in one of my posts (“6 Reasons A Vlogger is Not Popular“). Unless the universe tells me otherwise. Until then…Anyway, I decided to ditch the real-time background music once I realized my problem. If you do encounter a newly posted vid that still noticeably jumps because of the music, that means the raw copy just recently got edited.
Honestly, in a span of one year, I have only posted eight videos on my channel. Life happens, in a good way or a bad way. Serious editing eats time. But since I am in no hurry to get famous, I figured I’d do things on my own time. If you’ve been watching vloggers long enough, you’ll know a lot of them get burnout trying to keep up with the demands of vlogging. So, no. I have enough pressures already at work and in my personal life, I’m not about to add more.
Yes, there are only eight posted videos. Still, there’s enough where they came from. I have lots of recorded copies to last me till next year, plus there’ll be new ones I have yet to make. My upcoming New Year’s Resolution, however, does include being a more active YouTuber. Also, I’m putting (1) “Don’t buckle”, (2) “Pronounce words correctly”, (3) “Avoid grammatical errors”, and (3) “Don’t be conscious of the camera” on the list.
The Sandbox Show
The Sandbox Show is produced by The Sandbox Prodxns, a “self-owned one-woman company” that I created myself years ago (when I didn’t exactly know what to do with it). My account name has “akasands” in it, which actually means A.K.A Sands. Why it is there and what that means, I will reserve for another time. Unless you want to watch my long, boring, and awkward intro video. It’s explained there somewhere. At least, I added bloopers after, ha!
What can I say? I’m getting better at it. And I do like to play around with the editing to get my best results. I’m a visual person. I try to make my videos as entertaining as I can. Maybe I have only eight posts yet you can betcha I worked hard on every one of them. Practice makes almost-perfect.
Anyway, I have shared some videos in the past on this blog. Below are the two most recent ones I posted on YT, if you can call them recent:
Yakult vs Delight vs Go Long Probiotic Drinks It’s one of those reviews that I call “comparative mukbang”.
The Arya Stark Gender Debate It’s the first and, so far, only Game of Thrones-related video I’ve posted. There are more to come. Here, I discuss an issue that people felt compelled to debate on even in this day and age. Disclaimer: I did say “It does not matter” whether Arya Stark was or was not.
These last few months, I’ve been doing lots of watching, particularly, but not exclusively, on Netflix. Seen just a few flicks, followed/following a few series–old, new, and new-to-me. The thing is, they don’t have a lot of other stuff I want to see, so I actually checked out iFlix last night and saw several of those other stuff. Maybe I’ll keep both accounts, considering that the latter is so much cheaper, actually. I’ll be trying out their month-long free trial.
Anyway, I am sharing my quick reviews again. Read on, friends, but check out the guide below.
Excellent – No doubt that I super love this and would love to continue watching!
Good – Very interesting that I wouldn’t want to miss an episode
Promising – Interesting that it can keep me glued to my seat and ask for more, but there’s still a chance my interest in it may wane
Fair – Entertaining enough to watch to pass the time
Undecided – Not consistently interesting that my feelings for it seesaws from almost-LIKE to meh.
Bad – NOT recommended WHATSOEVER, for valid reasons
IF you have not seen a show mentioned here, feel free to ignore this post if it suits you. Better if you’ll just skip parts instead to avoid the “spoilage”, so to speak…Here goes…
Game of Thrones (GoT)
I finally got to continue with Game of Thrones. So far, I’m done with Season 3. GoT is one big and compelling web of interwoven stories. It is very interesting, if not sometimes gruesome and scandalously unapologetic about the sex, the nudity, and the annoying habit of killing off beloved characters just when the audiences are warming up to them.
Nothing prepared me for the betrayal and murder of Robb Stark! I mean, I knew he would die sometime, but it was all so sudden, quick and a really undeserved and meaningless death of a strong character. I also did not expect Lady Catelyn Stark‘s death–I had thought she’d outlive Robb and, at least, get to see her smaller kids first–so cruel!
Characters I love and would love to see till the end:
Arya Stark- smart, brave and loyal (so far? we’ll see), and she kicks butts…It would be terrible if the character gets killed off.
Tyrion Lannister– I give him the Best Lannister award! His past before the war aside, he’s proven to be intelligent and rather kind-hearted.
DaenerysStormborn– easily almost everyone’s favorite. While the Lannisters, Starks, and Baratheons were battling it out and busy tricking one another, she successful gathered thousands of armies to her side. My fearless forecast is she stays until the end.
I know when sex/nudity is a work of art, and I know when it’s just meant to lure the audience. So save me the for-the-sake-of-art BS. And with the whole Weinstein controversy going on, it’s hard not to be concerned about the actors in such shows, whether they are big stars, bit players or extras.
Finally, the fantasy factor! The dragons are bigger, there were white walker sightings, and Melisandre is one intriguing magical character.
I’m not spared from spoilers even if I try to avoid them, so I do know about Jon Snow and Daenerys being related (don’t know how yet) and I have this to say: When has incest become accepted as cool??? GoT crossed the line. Nevermind if they end up not related after all. The point is, they think they are, yet they do it, anyway. Protagonists need not be saints, but they don’t have to be that morally questionable either.
RATING:GOOD(It would’ve been EXCELLENT, but I can never truly love a show that troubles me a lot. Still, I’m watching it. Hopefully, it doesn’t completely turn me off.)
Once Upon a Time (OUAT)
It’s been a slow progress that I have only finished the first season of Once Upon a Time. I haven’t even started with any episode from season 2 mainly because I’m busy with GoT and another series. Also, I want to watch most of it with the kids during weekends when I’m not busy.
Thankfully, the storylines were building up, keeping me interested, so I expect to be more entertained by the next season, at least. I do wish that Emma Swan did not finally learn the truth. I feel like the show could have delayed the revelation longer, maybe kept it until the first few season 2 episodes, at least. Maybe the producers were not sure whether they should continue it so they made a sort of open-ended ending, but it would still be an ending of sorts.
I am somehow glad that the antagonists aren’t really such bad people. I do want a better background story for Maleficent in the next seasons. Meanwhile, I have a pretty good idea who the Queen of Hearts actually is.
RATING:GOOD (It’s something the kids and I bond over. Now the youngest wants a Pinocchio costume for Reading Week.)
Dexter has ended and, to be honest, it kind of left a hole in my heart. I DIDN’T like the series finale at all! Practically everything was wrong! Practically the whole final season was wrong! As it has ended and I have a lot to say about it, this deserves a whole write-up, so whatever I need to say, I’ll save it.
RATING: Went up to EXCELLENT (I am tempted to change it to GOOD because the ending was AWFUL.)
The last time, I said I was willing to tryiZombie until its third season. That was before I found out it has only two seasons so far. I also said it needed more oomph. Fortunately, the zombie show did step up the game especially in the season finale. I can’t wait till I get to see the next episodes! It’s light, entertaining, I’m not scared to show it to kids (with my supervision, of course). Needless to say, the rating went up as well. No complaints for now. Long live the zombie!
RATING: Brain-licking GOOD (Also another bonding-worthy series to watch with kids–of course, I make sure to spare them from the very few a-bit-too-steamy-for-kids scenes.)
As I have mentioned in my previous post, my enthusiasm for watching YouTube channels has started to wane. So what I’m doing is I just take my time.
I am always into mysteries, so I decided I’d try this series out, after all, it’s about the great fictional detective Sherlock Holmes in the 21st century. It didn’t disappoint, coming on strong in the first seasons, though I have to say it’s getting a bit less interesting as time goes by. I hope it picks up again.
Sherlock is incredibly good at what he does. He has great deductive reasoning skills and a big wealth of information in his head. I like hearing bits of trivia when he talks. It does seem too impossible already at times the way he knows almost everything.
First woman Watson! And it’s Lucy Liu playing Joan Watson at that. I had to choose which to view first between Elementary and the other series, Sherlock–Lucy won my vote for the show, hands down. She’s natural as Watson, there isn’t time to wonder why Watson is Asian and not a man. It is not really relevant, anyway.
First woman Moriarty! That was brilliant as well. I also didn’t realize Moriarty was/is a woman and that she’s both Sherlock’s biggest nemesis and the love of his life. I suspected she was involved somewhat with Moriarty’s group, but not like that.
There doesn’t seem to be a possibility for a Holmes-Watson romantic angle. That’s refreshing. Also understandable as that would be too much veering away from the original fictional characters they’re based on.
It’s good that they tackled the addiction issue, which is a great flaw on Sherlock’s character. However, I’m in season 4 now and it still plays a big part in his storyline. It’s kind of getting old, to be honest. The writers should lay off it for a while. Sherlock using again at last season’s finale was just very disappointing, rather unnecessary and, really, just a betrayal of the audience that have come to accept him.
The Lizzie Borden Chronicles
Apparently, this series was based on the TV movie Lizzie Borden Took an Ax, which was based on actual cases of murder supposedly committed by the real Lizzie Andrew Borden. I haven’t seen the movie, but the series took from where the movie left off. Christina Ricci did so well as Lizzie that the network/producers decided to create The Lizzie Borden Chronicles (let’s call this LBC).
I must say that Christina sure showed how much she’s mastered the art of portraying dark and sinister characters (well, she’s had years of practice). She slayed it, pun intended. Character-wise, I never liked Lizzie. She’s evil and the only person she cared about, in a way, was her sister, mainly because she had a need for the sister. I told myself I would just watch the first season because Lizzie was not a main character anyone could root for. Surprisingly, I didn’t have to as the show was only meant to be for one season…Whew!
The actual Lizzie was said to have only killed two. Supposedly, as she was acquitted of the crime. LBC took a lot of liberties with their story and took a lot of the lives (some names were actual people back then) than necessary. Now, while things are often open to artistic interpretation, I believe that making Lizzie seem like some kind of sociopath/psychopath was going overboard. Maybe the real Lizzie was a killer, but it didn’t mean she killed many others. If you ask me, it’s a case of character assassination. If they wanted to drastically change things, they could’ve just created a whole new story that would not have Lizzie in it.
It is not clear if the Lizzie here was a sociopath or psychopath. Yes, there’s a difference, look it up. She’s cold-hearted and calculating, but she didn’t have a psychopath’s M.O. She just killed those who either stood in her way or those she could use to her advantage. Everybody knew she was some kind of bad; she never really pretended to be normal and likable, which is characteristic of a psychopath.
I am not sure whether to love or hate the modern approach the show took in terms of background music. It really seemed out of place. We’re not watching steampunk, after all.
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (a.k.a. CSI: Las Vegas)
I was so glad to have the chance to finish the whole CSI show. It’s one of my fave shows ever. My only problem was Netflix’s offer started with season 13 when I have never seen season 12! So while I expected Dr. Ray Langston leaving (after all, I already knew somebody was going to be the next lead actor), I wanted to experience that “closure”. Plus, I suddenly found some old faces missing and found new faces whose backgrounds I didn’t have an iota of an idea of.
Anyway, I am both sad and happy about the show. I am sad it’s ended, but I’m happy it ended well. After Warrick Brown‘s death in…whatever season that was, no main character died anymore, as far as I know, so yay! They brought the main characters back in the last episodes and gave everyone a happy finale.
I love that they brought Gil Grissom and Catherine Willows back for it, especially for Grissom and Sara Sidle to mend things and sail off to sea together. Nick Stokes finally got the promotion he’d been hankering for. I was confused whether the show was considering a David Hodges-Morgan Brody-Greg Sanders love triangle thing or not, although, in the end, it seemed to be Greg for the win.
No complaints here, except I won’t be able to see the show anymore. However, I am currently trying to see where I might be able to view CSI: Cyber. It’s been canceled, I’ve read, but I’m very much interested to see if I would like it or not.
RATING:EXCELLENT (My interest never wavered!!! I don’t know why I even delayed watching it before.)
Star Trek: Discovery
Yes! About time that I watch me someStar Trek again! It’s very new so I have decided to try and follow on a weekly basis. Certainly, it hasn’t disappointed me yet after four episodes. Great effects! And they definitely upped the ante on the creepy factors (twisted corpses in spaceships, anyone?) Plotlines aren’t bad at all either.
Love that after kicking zombie butts in Walking Dead as Sasha, Sonequa Martin-Green as Michael Burnham is now kicking Klingon butts (no offense to Worf as I loved him). She’s brought the tough persona with her, minus the too-much angst, yet still kind of brooding with the tendency to be anti-social. She’s perfect for the role! It’s nice that this show now gives more power to more women (I do want Deanna Troi here somehow, which is probably impossible, given the time setting). Now, for my fearless forecast: Michael will sooner or later replace Capt. GabrielLorca as captain, mark my words.
Why did Michelle Yeoh have to die so soon? She could have given more to the show. And why the H did the show not give Capt. Philippa Georgiou a proper and dignified burial rather than have the Klingons eat her??!!!
The Klingons. Their look. No. I prefer the Worf-look. These Klingons do not look like Klingons. Just sayin’.
Some have taken issue with it, but I don’t mind the Michael name. Women are now named Joey, Jesse, Alex…so what’s wrong with Michael? My only qualm is, really, “Michael Burnham” doesn’t sound anything near special. And one funny thing: “Georgiou Michael”…Coincidence, for sure.
That’s what I can say about it for now. It’s cool that they have After Trek right after every episode. I watch that as well.
I actually watched the first episode of the series version of Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events. Just one. Suffice it to say, I was not that impressed yet. I’m avoiding it for now, but I promise to go back to it sometime. Also began watching F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Everyone knows the show and the things that happened, so I will spare you and me by not doing a review of it anymore. My plan is to catch up on shows and/or their episodes that I missed.
These last weeks, it’s been like the zest for life was zapped out of me…Okay, that maybe exaggerated and over-dramatic, and it’s not like I’m the YOLO type of person either. For some reason, though, I was too uninspired to do things I believed I should have been doing.
It’s not even depression. It’s like…I just allowed myself to wallow in the mundane goings-on of life. Sort of. My brains were always thinking, mind you. But in a figurative sense, I had no energy for anything, except maybe for watching TV series, at least. Doesn’t mean there weren’t notable events in my life. There were a few, some even worth mentioning. I could just save the stories for the rainy days–No, wait. These are the rainy days. Here anyway.
Okay, I have to break this phase, so I’ll share some. Where have I been or what have I been doing these last weeks? What’s new?
Through the Reading Glasses
Alright, here’s something new:
My eyes! My eyes!
Notice anything? If your answer is I’m not perfect anymore, you’re right, HA!!! My eyesight isn’t as normal as it used to be, and as I used to brag about, anymore.
My visual acuity used to be 20/20 for the longest time, now it’s 20/25. Or is it 25/20? Sorry, I have yet to understand this kind of thing, but based on what I’ve read, 20/25 could be the right one.
Anyway, these are actually just reading glasses, no need yet for the more serious glasses, thank goodness. My peripheral awareness or side vision still seems excellent. The kids are surprised that I see what they’re doing even when I’m not exactly looking, he he.
And Binge-watching is My Game-o
After fighting walkers a.k.a. zombies in The Walking Dead, Sonequa Martin-Green now fights Klingons in Star Trek: Discovery
I watch whole TV series and a few movies every now and then. I just actually nerd-ed out earlier on Star Trek: Discovery then continued to After Trek where they discussedepisode 3.
I am enjoying myself (will probably post my next set of quick reviews in a day or two). It’s pretty much the only thing that makes me enjoy my weekdays. The funny thing is, if not suspense-thrillers or horror flicks, I actually just watch predictable and silly teen/tween flicks. Yes, guilty as charged–I mean–as confessed. That’s one side of me you didn’t know until this fateful day. Don’t spread it around, alright?
My YouTube-viewing has considerably waned. For some reason, just like vloggers noticeably starting to get tired of vlogging, I was noticeably starting to get tired of watching vlogs. So sometimes, I skipped days of viewing, which was good because it somehow “rejuvenated” me into watching again on some other days. I try not to overdo anymore.
Facebook now often tires me, too. Sometimes, people tire me. I am also prone to be somewhat depressed about certain things I see there, so I have been lying low. Not totally ignoring Facebook, just…not totally giving it much of my time. I have been having this love-hate relationship with it anyway. Surprisingly, I’ve become more into Twitter. Go figure. I think it’s because it’s less personal and there’s less disappointment with people I actually know.
No Relations and Old Relations
In the past weeks, I have had a falling-out with someone, lost a close relation, and found old friends.
I do not regret the falling-out. Maybe it’s good that it’s happened. I have somehow ridden myself of toxic. She’s still there, but I won’t allow myself to be caught again in such a parasitic relationship. I have often needed and received help from kind people, but there has never been any selfish intention of feeding off them just because I can. I know how to show my appreciation.
With the second, there was also a falling-out for more than a year. Honestly, I am not sure if “falling-out” is even the right word. I had never felt trusted, and that’s how far of an explanation I will give. I sincerely wanted us to be closer. Circumstances and differences did not give me enough chance to do this. After the “falling-out”, I stayed away. Even during her illness, which I was initially unaware of. With what was then going on, I felt that a visit from me would be unwelcome and may cause more rifts, so I still stayed away. Until I heard the bad news, that she passed away.
In an ironic twist, people were talking and being chummy again. If you knew the whole background of my story, you’d use the word “ironic”, too. Things have become better. So far. I hope I am mistaken, but this could again be just the calm before the next years of storm.
After years of searching, I finally found two of the three former acquaintances I had been looking for on Facebook. I never expected the change in one, which was actually good, and I have yet to see any changes from the other. I am still looking for the third and I don’t know why no one seems to care to know if she still exists, which is sad. I care.
Celebrate Good Times
Happy 7th Anniversary to The End Justifies the Journey! I was expecting a notification in September. I became too uninspired, I forgot to look. So yeah, I missed the notif. But hey, I’m happy to still be here 🙂
Alright, I’ve broken the phase now, I’ll try to keep it broken. Please stick with me, okay? Oh, and so many thanks to everyone who has become my new follower and the visitors who have contributed to my statistics. Frankly, I was surprised that people had been visiting while I was away. In the world of blogging, that’s actually a good thing 🙂
I am excited to share this next set of performers!
But first, remember I promised I would explain Filipino music last time? Then, I will explain. Let me start by sharing someone’s thoughts regarding our musicality and how we are, in general, as a nation of singing addicts, all from a non-Filipino’s point of view 😉
For the record, I don’t think that we are the best singers in the world simply because there are no statistics to prove that. I don’t think there’s been any study done to see who’s best, and if there was, I’d say that’s a stupid waste of money that could’ve been used for more relevant endeavors.
That said, I do believe that it seems we do have quite talented artists over here even though–*GASP!!!*–not everyone can sing well. Just to give you my humble estimate, 90% of us sing, so there’s the 10% who don’t or can’t. The 90% comprises these:
40% good singers who can, at least, carry a decent tune
30% really good singers qualified to join local amateur singing contests
15% exceptionally great singers qualified to join much bigger competitions and, perhaps, be recording artists
5% most fortunately blessed singers that soon become legends for their amazingly distinct talents
I agree with all of what David DiMuzio said. Although regarding that part about almost all households having karaoke,…Well, I suppose, if he is referring to owning a player, DVDs of sing-along songs and, hopefully, a mic, that’s possible enough even for poor families. But the actual karaoke, what we now call as videoke (not hard to guess why), is now a modern jukebox that is usually rented for 24 hours for parties and during occasions. Anyone, especially guests, can hang around and take turns belting out songs that can be heard kilometers away.
Anyway, David’s right, we love the ’70s and ’80s music. To add, we love and patronize even older songs because our parents and their parents did, too. Children from all walks of life grow up listening to music their parents also grew up listening to, so those are what are usually played at home and, often, on the radio…
Alright, ’nuff said about that. Let’s go to the artists already!
This trio, I already introduced in Part 1 of this two-part series. However, they’re so good, I decided to first share another one of their “jam sessions” on the Wish bus. This is a vid featuring Kyla, Yeng Constantino, and KZ Tandingan. Unfortunately, I could not find an original video so I’m sharing a reaction video instead. I do promise you, you can hear them clearly (jump to 0:40, if you need to). And thanks to Terrence Jr. for this!
Some of the Wish bus videos of artists I am featuring are reaction videos. That’s because the original performance videos are already missing (it’s a long story, but something Wish FM addicts know of). Don’t worry, I have chosen reaction vids where you can hear the artists clearly, and the reactors have done the least reactions during the presentations (based on my search, anyway)…
Now, this artist was one of the most requested artists to appear on the Wish bus and was their first-ever Artist of the Month. I honestly think the appearance was only made possible as she was/is endorsing a popular company’s new service. Who cares, though? It seems everyone who heard and saw that quite recent performance–on the radio, right outside the bus, through watching YouTube–loved her song. Dubbed as Asia’s Songbird, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid brought the house down when she did a cover of her past cover of the song Araw-Gabi (Day and Night).
A little background: Regine first made waves when she won first in Ang Bagong Kampeon(The New Champion) at 14. She is best known as a “belter” who can reach such crazy high notes. (I personally am more in love with the lower registers she’s shown here). She soon became the standard for high belters and many from the younger generation have been idolizing her then and now, trying to follow in her footsteps…Given this background info, you can now guess why she was most requested and why there was such a big crowd outside the bus, as can be seen from her Wish video.
Meanwhile, here’s someone whose talents I highly respect and appreciate. She’s showbiz royalty and I’m happy she is not just riding on her famous parents’ popularity (the mom is an actress-singer, the dad was called the Comedy King of the film and TV industry). This is Zia Quizon whose voice I have loved ever since I first heard her sing on TV. She’s got a not-so-usual voice quality that you could definitely love.
For the bus, she sang Creep, Crazy, and The Scientist, all YouTube hits, and I could easily just share any of their originals. BUT, it is her version of Hotline Bling, a song which original version I totally hated, that I love most, and it was the most-viewed of her numbers, I believe. Watch and listen to her sing below. I have also posted a reactors’ video because Zia’s vids of this keep getting taken out of YouTube. So in case it doesn’t work anymore, check out the reactors’ vid (jump to 0:52 if you want). Thanks to HugknucklesTV!
Next is another non-belter. In fact, Sue Ramirez is more of an actress than a singer. She does have a nice, sweet singing voice that she likes to share once in a while. For instance, here, she sings popular TV drama Dolce Amore‘s theme song Your Love, which is a ’90s band Alamid original.
I like Sue, but I’m not crazy about this version of the song, so I was surprised to find out that foreign reactors were so smitten by her that her rendition became viral in no time. I did not expect that at all. I think it’s the charm that worked like magic, based on various reactions I’ve seen and on the number of reactors suddenly crushing on her. I leave it to you to decide.
She did sing, at least, another song that you might like more: Ako sa ‘Yo.
Another young artist has made it in our list of special singers worthy of mention. She is Sassa Dagdag of The Voice Philippines – Kids Edition season 2. Sassa has got this distinctly husky singing voice that makes her stand out. Her various song renditions, especially of If I were a Boy and Halo, were/are others’ easy favorites. Mine, though, is her interpretation of La Vie en Rose. For me, that was a really awesome performance, the most impressive of her renditions.
The Wish bus performance got taken down, though, so I am again sharing a reactors’ video. The vid is clear, the sounds are also, the reactors kept the comments to a minimum, enough for us to enjoy viewing (jump to 1:02). Thanks to MGN: The Echo!
Last, we’ve got a girl group, the 4th Impact. They are actually sisters and we have kind of seen their “transformation”, starting from years ago when certain TV shows first featured/introduced these then-very simple lasses. They grew up joining singing and dance contests to be able to help their family. In fact, up to now, these much-more stylish girls still keep joining–sometimes winning–in various talent competitions abroad. Most notable of their successes are winning twice in the World Championship of Performing Arts (2006, 2013) in separate categories, and bagging the fifth place in The X FactorUK (2015).
The group has had several name-changes until they settled with “4th Impact”. Basing on this performance, however, I believe that they can always change the name, but no one can ever deny their talent.
I thought that to corroborate David’s observation of how our singing artists hone their skills through competitions, here is an example of how great they can already be even before they officially become celebrities.
Below is a number performed the recent Wish Music Awards that featured finalists of the contest Tawag ng Tanghalan, a segment of the variety show It’s Showtime. For some reason, there’s only one guy here, Noven Belleza, who happens to be the eventual champion. It could be because of the genre. All the other guys had their separate number.
I have two personal faves. First is Gidget Dela Llana who was a part of the first set of semi-finalists (I was able to kind of follow some of them then). I was happy with her song choices on the daily rounds and she gave them justice wonderfully. Even when others seemed to be belting out higher notes, she was able to prove herself as a worthy competitor.
My second fave is Eumee Capile (I honestly could not find yet a relevant page to link to) whom I admit having not watched until her Wish performance (hey, I was at work, alright?). So much power!!!…
That’s it, folks! There are so many to share, but I concentrated specifically only on several. And if this set now screams of Girl Power, it’s unintentional. I chose only from what/who went viral and what I personally liked. Honestly, so far, only a few male Wish artists have sent me fangirl-ing. They do deserve to be given the chance, so I think I’ll do that in the future.
Before I really go, I leave you with this Wish Awards medley number from Zia, Sassa, and KZ. there was the original video that was better, of course, but you know what happened. Thanks, at least, for fans like Dannie Buenaventura…ENJOY!!!
Welcome back to #TuesdayTunes! Woo-hoo!!! Been a long while since the last one, methinks. For today, I am sharing a very good set of songs and singers. While on hiatus from The Walking Dead vids, I discovered many reaction videos that are particularly about performances done while on the Wish bus. Yep, that’s right, the wish bus! And I’ve become obsessed!
What am I talking about? I’ve heard about this bus before, but it is only now that I’m discovering these videos. It’s really rather simple. There’s this bus that on given days, goes around the metro or parks in one place. What’s so special? This bus serves as the station for Wish 107.5 FM where various singing artists perform live, for real, in real time, like a mini-concert, and everyone around the bus can hear them! Guess what? Too many of their vids have gone really viral, like full-blown viral.
Can I just say “Really nice concept, Wish peeps”?
Of course, it features local artists, although I won’t discount the possibility that should foreign acts visit here, maybe some wouldn’t be too unavailable for such a thing. (UPDATE: They have been featuring foreign artists.)
Alright, guys, though these are all local artists, I encourage you to at least check them all out. I’ve put together a great collection of awesome performances with different flavors. A lot of them have more than one great performance, but I chose either my faves or what YouTube viewers and reactors loved most. You’re free to click stop and move on to the next ones, but before you do, please give each performance a chance first. You’re bound to be surprised.
BTW, this is the first of a two-parter and I promise to explain more about Filipino music next time (and links to be added while you read/watch, sorry…)
Let’s start with the youngest — 14-year-old Darren Espanto with Chandelier, so yeah, you know what you’re in for. His I Believe rendition won for him the Best Wishclusive Performance by a Young Artist award in the recent Wish Awards, but the first is somehow his staple song (my opinion), so I’m sharing that one. If you don’t like this style, at least lend him an ear. He’s a Filipino who grew up in Canada and was already doing front acts in concerts before he joined The Voice Philippines – Kids Edition and won second place (he should have been first, but I’ll keep my mouth shut).
Alright, has he got your heart pounding? Let’s slow things down a bit with Bugoy Drilon, a former canteen janitor. A lot of our artists nowadays are products of singing competitions on TV. This guy won second place in the second season of Pinoy Dream Academy (PDA). Why second-placers often make it bigger than the first-placers, I have no idea. Anyway, he’s supposed to be a balladeer (he’s got a few hits), but when he joined the We Love OPM contest last year, I think that’s when they discovered his other hidden talent in singing. He showcases that here.
How about a little surprise? Nah, I’m kidding…It’s a BIG surprise! Just let Marcelito Pomoy show you the surprise 😉
Marcelito won in the 2011 Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT) contest. I think it’s not hard to guess why. Like many of our artists, he was also dirt-poor with a colorful background before finding fame.
Now we go to a real girl. By now, you can guess she was part of a singing competition also, he he. Well, not my intention. It just happens these vids feature them. Anyway, this is Morissette Amon, or simply Morissette, and if you check this vid out, you’ll understand why she won most of the awards in the Wish Awards.
We have her here singing solo a song originally sang by a group and, my goodness, she’s awesome! I mean I knew that when I saw her in The Voice Philippines (TVoP) in 2013, in fact, I was rooting for her, but she didn’t make it all the way to the top. So when I saw this the other day, can I just say I fell for her? And she looks so pretty here, too. Anyway, listen and find out why many YouTube reactors from around the world found her awesome, too…
Squeezed in BONUS –> Here’s a “duet” from the Wish Awards:
Up next is Klarisse De Guzman (sadly, I can’t find a good enough bio of hers for now) singing a classic with a lot of class. Her vids didn’t get that many hits/votes, but I think she earned a place here. She won second-place in the same TVoP season where Morissette was in and they had the same coach.
Alright, enough of the high-note divas and divos! We have here another artist, a diva in her own right. Oh, she’s very special! She won first place in The X Factor Philippines in 2012 (Note: Filipinos really love music! Singers tend to win this contest when it’s supposed to be for every kind of talent…Well, singers and dancers, actually, ’cause we love to dance, too!).
Anyway, I decided to post two vids here of her ’cause I couldn’t help it. I don’t know which one’s better! There’s a third with her, R’n’B PrincessKyla and songwriter Pop Rock PrincessYeng Constantino (she won first place in the first of the only two seasons of PDA).
Kyla’s the one with the sweet voice and she rapped, too, to my surprise. Yeng is more into alternative, so don’t expect her to go all-diva like the others. She writes wonderful songs, one of which is my favorite that I have shared here before called Hawak-Kamay. They sang another song but it’s been taken down. I’ll be sharing it in Part 2 of this post.
And now, last in this first list and definitely not the least, is music icon Gary Valenciano. Some foreigners will most probably get bored with his style because it is the Filipino style of writing and singing sentimental songs. But he actually sings dance songs also and is not called Mr. Pure Energy for nothing. A lot of us grew up listening to and idolizing him. With this vid, however, you won’t get bored AT ALL, as some reactors found out later and what made them apologize for some negative comments on his other videos that they first saw.
Oh, you will love this, I promise! (BTW, thanks to Lukas MD’Gams.)
I found this hilarious series of vids the other day. I think they’re self-explanatory. The only thing that kind of confuses me is the use of the word “guy”. Not sure if it’s supposed to be gender-specific as even if a woman was made to act here, the “search results” would have been the same anyway. I’d rather they used “person”. Someone made a series of a Girl series, but they’re not nearly as funny as these (do check for yourselves at YouTube, though). Props to CollegeHumor, by the way 🙂
