Lately, I have been looking at various company and individual LinkedIn accounts. (No, I hadn’t been looking for new work, if that’s what you’re thinking.) It dawned on me that I should start updating my own LinkedIn account. I’ve had that account for years and never really used it (long story). Since I’m the type of person who likes to list down things so I won’t forget them, I thought why not?
JENNIFER FEDERIZO ENRIQUEZ
I spent maybe almost two weeks editing and re-editing. I wanted it to be perfect, for me, at least. I tried to remember everything I could remember, consult references, connect with people. It’s probably still not perfect, but I’m now happy with it.
I did want to add a LinkedIn badge here or on my blogfolio (which I heavily linked to), but I honestly could not get the whole instruction. That said, here’s what my intro-header looks like:

This is is how I greet you on LinkedIn
You know, until I did this, I never really realized how much I had written through the years.

19 publications! Not even sure if I missed anything. Definitely, I can’t share those I wrote for as a web content writer
Not everything there is for public consumption, but I have allowed that my About section would be viewable.
Here’s what it says:
“I am a W/E/Bist (Writer. Editor. Blogger.). Main skills: Content/Creative/Journalistic Writing, Editing/Copyediting, Internet Research, Social Media Management & Marketing, Multi-Media and Communications Work.
I had been an Editorial Assistant & Staff Writer for a publication, editor-contributor for a book, blog admin-writer for clients, and copywriter. My work experience also largely includes public relations- and advertising-related work. I have done Project Management or Team Leading as well.
Currently a Web Content Writer, I often write/edit articles, blog posts, and press releases. My work includes Search Engine Optimization, Search Engine Marketing, and online video productions (using Biteable.com). I have ample experience using Google AdWords plus very basic Google Analytics and Bing Ads.
Certifications: Inbound Marketing, Inbound Sales Marketing, and Email Marketing certifications from Hubspot Academy. For more: https://jenriquezwriterportfolio.wordpress.com/certifications-and-awards/
I am adaptable, able to learn new skills. I can handle very basic web designing and development tasks, given enough time to learn/train. My various experiences have introduced me to programs and online tools.
Generally, I avoid doing things half-baked.
On a more personal note:
I have been a blogger for around 15 years, writing articles and occasional fiction and poetry. WordPress is my go-to platform now though I have handled various platforms. I have both a personal site and a portfolio blog. On the side, I serve as adviser/editor and story assist for a local comics series by an independent artist. At the moment, I am slowly learning how to utilize YouTube (for now, I use Windows Photo Editor) and will be getting back to giving advice on Quora soon.”
Can you tell me if it’s already informative? What does it lack? Or is it a case of an over-share? It may or may not attract head hunters, but I am really happy with it. Right now, anyway. Of course, I reveal more in private (oops, that came out wrong, LOL!!!). For fun, I Googled “Jennifer Enriquez LinkedIn” the other day. I was not #1, but I was in the Top Ten Results, yay! What’s more, I was the first Filipino listed, at least 🙂
Do you have your own LinkedIn account? Let me know what you think 🙂
