Day 12 of the #NaNoPoblano2021 challenge. Major Theme: “A Few of My Earliest Things”. New sub-theme: “My Firsts”. Related post: My Evolution as a Writer.
Like I said, every writer starts somewhere. These were the FIRST BOOKS I EVER WROTE. Granted that they were not exactly typed and published, but I started my stories writing these. I wrote seven in a span of a year! Of course, the stories all seem silly to me now, but they’re my treasures.

I made this very simple logo
Why do the titles sound like they’re books a teeny-bopper would write? Because I was 15 when I started. I gave a link above if you’re interested about these so-called “novelettes” and my whole evolution as a writer.
There are only six stories in the photo because somebody borrowed the fourth (or is it the fifth…?) and never returned it. **cry**
My Early Fiction (in order, L-R):
- Young and In Love (above)
- Once Upon a Summer
- Angel
- Mr. Bodyguard (missing)
- The Boy Next Door
- Life Alone
- Weave the Net of Love
- In Linear Perspective (UNFINISHED)
Wow! Looks like you were a strong writer as a teen! What if you found Mr. Bodyguard adapted into a movie or play? *Dun dun DUNNNNN!!*

I WISH I could be as prolific again! As for the fourth book, believe me, no one in his right mind would be interested in adapting it. Also, chances are, it’s still in the old house of my high school batchmate. Unfortunately, she’s now living in NZ. She knows she didn’t return it but most probably doesn’t remember anymore where she kept it.

You never know and never say “never.” Circumstances may not be right in the present, but they could be in the future. You may have to give Mr. Bodyguard another life, though, like a fast-forward, where-are-they-now lens.
*Crying laughing emoji at your friend “probably doesn’t remember anymore where she kept it.”*

I don’t really plan on reviving or updating the series. But I plan on continuing other projects in the future. For now, if I really should concentrate, that should be in the newer book I am working on.

In that case, I look forward to your upcoming book!

Depending on how busy I am, I wouldn’t mind being writing a book review for you. It might take a few months, though.

That would be nice (and nerve-wracking!). You’ll probably wait a long time for it, though. I’ll try to continue working on it these holidays after I’m done with the NaNos.

There’s no rush. I’m just letting you know that this is an option.
