Once in a while, I get the inspiration to write “lighter” poems. Also, I really like telling stories even through poetry. The one below is a response to a challenge posted in the writing group I belonged to before (it’s now non-existent). The challenge was this: “Write something using the words daisy, linger and truck. Avoid using a, an, and the.” I didn’t notice I used the last word (guilty!). I managed to tease the group admin by including his username in it. It’s up to you to guess what it is. If it sounds weird, that’s probably it 😉
