VICE PRESIDENT BINAYhas quit the Cabinet. Binay’s one-sentence letter to President Aquino was [probably] the shortest resignation letter ever written by a high-ranking Filipino government official. Evidently, Binay couldn’t stand to be part of the Aquino cabinet even for another sentence.

The Vice President has submitted his irrevocable resignation effective immediately. According to Mood Meter, this news report made the rest of the Cabinet “jubilant.”

The President has reportedly accepted the Vice President’s resignation. Earlier today, at least five drafts of the President’s reply to Binay reached my Inbox. I’m posting all of them here. Exclusive!
